The video introduction of France’s premiere women’s festival (think Lilith Fair) is inspirational as you get a chance to glimpse some of the best women musicians and female-fronted bands in Europe.
In its 13th edition celebrating women in indie music, Les Femmes s’en Melent started last week as it tours main cities throughout France, and runs through April 3rd ending in Paris. The line-up includes Chicks On Speed, Dag F’r Dag, Dance Yourself To Death, Dj Gina Turner, Fury Furyzz, Jack November, Jenny Wilson, Jessie Evans, John & Jehn, Kyrie Kristmanson, La Fianc’e, Lisa Papineau, LoneLady, Margaret Doll Rod, MEN, Miss Platnum, Motorama, Ol’f Arnalds, Peau, Rock & Junior, Sarah Blasko, Soap&Skin with ensemble, Sydney Wayser, Taxi Taxi!, Tender Forever, Trash Kit, The Tiny, and Vuk.
